Talk about sexy lacquer! Christian Louboutin sure knows how to make a girl feel special! The stiletto guru has embarked in the world of beauty by launching his first line of nail polish. The packaging, much like his shoes, does not disappoint. But how much will it cost you?
His shoes are in high demand by some of our favorite A-list celebrities, as well as shoe lovers all over the world. Mr. Red Bottom is breaking into the beauty industry with 31 nail shades, with only 1 being available as we speak.
What color would you expect to be displayed first, other than red?!! Rouge Louboutin, which is a tribute to his signature red bottoms is the debut color.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the nail polish "is scheduled to go on sale today in a U.S. concession shop on the eighth floor at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship in New York and the 15 Louboutin boutiques in the U.S. Saks will devote five display windows to the launch, with each filled with a display of an imaginary city, called Loubiville, whose architectural shapes give hints of products to come."
Sounds pretty fabulous and innovative to me. How much will one of these bottles cost you? Try $50 bucks. Rouge will be released August 6th to remaining Saks stores, as well as Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom and Sephora. The remaining colors will be available throughout the U.S. on August 31st.
Speaking on his new venture, Mr. Louboutin had this to say, “If I do beauty, I have to do it my way. I am someone who likes objects.”
This is the perfect project for someone who discovered his signature mark by painting nail polish on the soles of shoes, to make them stand out. The real question is...
