Privy Ink: Labor Day Fun at Piedmont Park in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA is home for me and has been for the past 7 1/2 years. My resident anniversary is coming up this December, marking 8 years! If you've browsed my blog, you might have ran across a post ("NYC for a Southern Girl") I wrote about desiring a change in my life --preferably moving to a new city (either Los Angeles or New York). It's not that there's anything wrong with Atlanta, I'm just a little curious about what it's like to live in a bigger city. In the meantime, while I'm an Atlantan I enjoy everything that this awesome city has to offer.

NYC for a Southern Girl?

I'm at a place in my life, where I am in dire need of change! Living in Atlanta for the past 7 1/2 years has been absolutely amazing. I've experienced several careers, met so many different people (in and out of work)--many I still keep in touch with today, and I've enjoyed a lot of late night, early morning partying!!

There are so many things I love about Atlanta and will always love: taking my dog to Piedmont Park, trekking to the top of Stone Mountain, laying out with a blanket at Freedom Park, eating at the many restaurants that the city has to offer...the list is endless.

It really pains me to see so many "illusions" of what people think Atlanta is about, due to what's on television (which is my guilty pleasure). There's so much more to living here than reality television, strip clubs, and the new emerging Hollywood movie sets. Don't get me wrong, Atlanta has claim to those things but there's a lot more to admire about this city as well. I say all that to say that after living so many amazing years here, I'm interested in moving to a bigger city--but only temporary.

What to Consider Before Buying a Sectional

There are plenty of options when deciding on the furniture you want to decorate your home with. The options are endless, and honestly it can be exhausting trying to find the perfect fit. A few months ago, I was in the market for new furniture. As a matter of fact, my old furniture was so embarrassing that I was shamed by a friend from keeping it. My search began about 6 months prior to my purchase, which gives you a good amount of time to compare your options.
