My idea of a Sunday afternoon is curling up in my hammock, pulling out my iPad, and surfing Houzz for inspiring home transformations. I'm not in the market to buy or renovate any homes at the moment, but there's something about witnessing a space that has been transformed into a cozy and livable dwelling.

When I started decorating my current home (like a real adult), I realized that rugs have...adult prices. You can say I had a sticker shock moment!! I immediately called my mom and she said to me, "You didn't know rugs can be expensive?" No mom!!

Of course in my 20s I never thought to invest in a good quality area rug. (Needless to say, I still haven't. Shrugs) There are so many rugs to choose from, but for this post I wanted to look into graphic prints. I'm a sucker for any type of print, and so naturally I gravitate to colors, lines, shapes and abstract themes. Is Beyonce a style icon? This was up for debate a few weeks ago and when opinions get to flowing about fashion and Beyonce, I'm sure it can divide a room. There are people who will defend Beyonce, including her fans (me) and say she certainly IS a style icon. Then there are those that will say she doesn't pull her fashion off well or her style is all over the place. Of course everyone has a right to their opinion, and New York Times writer Vanessa Friedman, very boldly shared hers: Beyonce a Legend of Rock, but not Fashion.

However, Beyonce's costume designer begs to differ and so do I (kanye shrug)...

Some of the reviews thought the website was a little dark and close to gothic, which is a complete departure from someone that everyone looks at as an easy going California girl. People were confused about what the website had to offer, but you'll find that it's a mix of a blog and e-commerce site, with a focus on charitable deeds. 

The actress shares recipes, talks about her philanthropy efforts, and you can purchase anything from dill pickles (yes I said dill pickles) and wallets. It's a little all over the place, but you should check it out to discover some eclectic finds.
